Fiat Chrysler investigations and allegations

Investigations into Fiat Chrysler emissions began in Europe as early as 2016, when the German Transport Ministry reportedly requested that the European Commission should look into the use of potential defeat devices in FCA vehicles. The alleged devices are said to be in use for the purpose of cheating emissions tests, as they were in the Volkswagen scandal.

Later, in 2017, French prosecutors reportedly began a criminal investigation into Fiat Chrysler over alleged emissions cheating. Since then, FCA offices in countries across Europe are understood to have been raided in relation to alleged defeat device investigations.

The carmaker continues to deny that they have done anything wrong at all.

Fiat Chrysler emissions claims
