The Car Emissions Lawyers are representing eligible owners for Fiat Chrysler emissions compensation claims who have come forward and started their case.
For some, it is estimated that eligible victims could claim up to the full purchase price of their vehicle under CPUT (Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading 2008) regulations.
Legal precedents mean that some victims could receive up to 100% purchase price of their vehicle if the manufacturer has engaged in ‘very serious’ prohibitive practices. That means victims could receive tens of thousands of pounds, depending on the make and model of their vehicle. Presently, the carmaker denies that they have done anything wrong, so the action we are taking is to find out whether or not there has been any behaviour that amounts to cheating emissions regulations or not.

Your Lawyers (T/a The Car Emissions Lawyers) are pioneers in vehicle emissions action. We were one of the first to take action for the Volkswagen ‘Dieselgate’ emissions scandal and have been taking action ever since. Read on to find out more about the Car Emissions Lawyers below.
We are an experienced law firm that is passionate about the impact of emissions scandals on our health and the environment, and we make it our mission to champion consumer rights. With the emissions scandals, it is down to allegations that some manufacturers could be using a form of ‘defeat device’ software to cheat emissions tests and pass EU emissions restrictions. By cheating the tests, cars could then produce illegal amounts of NOx (Nitrogen Oxide) during normal use which can be extremely harmful to both the human population and to the environment.
If your vehicle has been subject to a software update in relation to engine management, systems, or emissions, you could be eligible to make an emissions claim with us now.

If you have yet to do so, we always advise that starting an emissions claim as soon as possible is the best way to go, and we are here to help you now.
It is important to understand that every single case will be subject to legal time limits to claim. There are time limits as set out in the Limitations Act, and there are also court deadlines to make sure you do not miss in most cases like this as well.
Once these time limits have expired, it may be the case that you can no longer go ahead with the case without special permission from the court. This is not something that is commonly granted, so you must make sure that you do not miss out on the chance to claim.
Fiat Chrysler are thought to be close to settling an emissions action that involves over 100,0000 vehicles that the US Justice Department says are breaking emissions laws.
Fiat Chrysler have always denied any wrongdoing, yet reports have emerged of an offer for settlement made to the automotive company that’s close to bringing the emissions actions against them to a close in favour of punishment.
It’s thought that civil action could still be initiated thereafter, and that a “fix” will be applied to resolve the emissions issues.
Fiat Chrysler has rejected a report that says the car-maker could be facing 9.62 million Euros (£8.6 million) in fines for allegedly cheating French diesel emissions tests. Fiat strongly denies using defeat devices like those Volkswagen used to cheat emissions tests, which triggered the massive class action legal case we’re currently at the forefront of.
Fiat Chrysler claims that allegations being made against them have no basis, and that their vehicles comply with relevant laws.
Fiat Chrysler asks for approval for software updates to diesel vehicles hit with emissions irregularities by Spring 2018
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. have said they are hoping for approval for their proposed “software updates fix” for 104,000 of their diesel vehicles already on the road with emissions level manipulating software installed.
In May 2017, the U.S. Justice Department sued the car maker for using software that broke U.S. emissions rules in a number of their vehicles. Whilst stopping short at labelling the software to be an illegal so-called “defeat devices” like those found in Volkswagen vehicles, Fiat Chrysler was thought to be using similar technology that ultimately had a very similar effect.
A court-appointed settlement advisor in Washington has confirmed that Fiat-Chrysler has engaged in settlement talks with claimant lawyers over yet another car emissions scandal that has plagued the motor industry these past two years.
The lawyers represent owners of Fiat-Chrysler cars that are reportedly fitted with certain software that can manipulate vehicle emissions and can affect the difference between emissions levels identified in testing and real-world conditions; similar to the ongoing Volkswagen Emissions Scandal.
Although Fiat-Chrysler deny they have done anything intentionally wrong, lawyers have brought claims in the U.S. that are looking likely to settle in favour of the drivers.
Since the VW emissions scandal erupted in September 2015, and since then there’s been rumours that other auto-makers have been up to similar activities. Allegations were made against the 7th largest auto maker, Fiat-Chrysler, a day after VW agreed to pay around £3.3 billion in civil and criminal penalties for its wrongdoing.
Despite the carmaker denying any wrongdoing, authorities have been investigating their vehicles and have found software that can reportedly affect emissions readouts. As such, it’s something we’re keeping a very close eye on, as there are some remarkable similarities between the VW emissions scandal and the probes in to Fiat-Chrysler.
VW aren’t the only ones who have reportedly been cheating emissions testing. Fiat Chrysler were alleged to have been doing the same as well.
Upon finding out about their alleged cheating, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) prohibited the manufacturer from making diesels in the U.S. Since then however, there’s been a rumour in the mill that Fiat are making diesels again, and are set to be selling them once more.
