Fiat Chrysler emissions compensation

Since the Volkswagen “dieselgate” scandal hit the headlines in 2015, a number of other carmakers have been subjected to accusations of emissions fraud. Fiat Chrysler emissions are under scrutiny over allegations suggesting that the FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) Group could be involved in the use of illegal defeat devices as a means of cheating emissions tests. Like other carmakers, they strongly deny that this is the case.

In our view, the ongoing diesel emissions scandals could represent one of biggest violations of consumer rights ever seen, with potentially millions of car owners who could be affected internationally. We immediately saw that the Volkswagen scandal had breached the trust invested in the company by so many customers, and so we initiated High Court action against the company in January 2016 soon after the allegations hit the headlines.

Having played a pioneering role in the Volkswagen Group Litigation Order (GLO) case, we now want to ensure that all those affected by emissions scandals have a chance to claim compensation. Our experience has given us the strength to hold huge corporations to account. Pursuing group actions, we bring the strength of numbers to our fight against carmakers. You can find out if you are eligible for a Fiat Chrysler claim today via our online form here now.

Allegations against Renault denied by ex-boss

Carlos Ghosn has recently spoken out to deny responsibility for allegations over cheating emissions tests, following serious allegations against Renault. The former executive of the two car brands Renault and Nissan, as well as the ex-chief of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance, reportedly fled Japan back in 2019 after he was arrested for the alleged misuse of company funds.

The controversy surrounding Ghosn’s exit from Japan was, however, not the subject of his public statement. He was understood to be being questioned by investigators in direct relation to the wider “dieselgate” scandals. The wave of allegations relating to emissions fraud began in 2015, when Volkswagen was first accused of using illegal defeat devices to manipulate emissions controls in its diesel vehicles.

Ghosn himself may have a lot to answer for given his prior status as the head of three well-known car brands, which have since been subjected to accusations of cheating. While unrelated, the Japanese charges against him certainly cast doubt over this, but it remains to be seen whether he, Renault, or Nissan are responsible for any wrongdoing. Allegations of cheating are being firmly denied.

Volvo Emissions Compensation Claims

Since the Volkswagen “dieselgate” scandal hit the headlines in 2015, many of the major carmakers have come under suspicion regarding the use of allegedly illegal software to cheat emissions tests. The allegations against Volkswagen surrounded the alleged installation of defeat devices in diesel vehicles in order to disguise the excessive production of nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions, and litigation has since proven that a number of allegations have been founded. Volvo is one of the companies we are also investigating, as allegations may mean that the affected owners could be eligible to make Volvo emissions compensation claims, if allegations are proven to be founded.

As pioneers of diesel emissions litigation in England and Wales, we were one of the first firms to bring claims against Volkswagen on behalf of our clients, and we played a role in initiating High Court proceedings against the manufacturer in early 2016. We want to ensure that any car manufacturers who may be responsible for allegedly cheating emissions are held to account, which is why we are taking on several group actions.

To ensure that as many people as possible can access the justice they deserve, we are offering No Win, No Fee compensation claims to all eligible claimants. Carmakers continue to strongly deny claims being made, so we intend to get to the bottom of the investigations at hand.

EU issues fines for emissions scandal

Allegations of diesel emissions fraud have long been investigated in Europe following the revelation that Volkswagen had been manipulating emissions controls in its vehicles, cheating regulations. As the EU issues fines for emissions scandal culprits such as VW and BMW, questions have been raised about the impact on the wider car manufacturing industry and who else may also be involved in similar behaviour.

VW and BMW have been singled out in a recent antitrust investigation by the European Commission over claims that they had colluded with Daimler, the owner of the Mercedes-Benz brand. According to The Guardian, this was in relation to delaying the development of “emissions-cleaning technology” in their vehicles. Now, upon the conclusion of the investigation, the two companies have reportedly been hit with a total fine of €875m.

The findings of the investigation suggest that the three companies acted unlawfully. Many other well-known car brands have similarly been levelled with accusations of emissions fraud in the wake of the Volkswagen emissions scandal, so the conclusion of this EU investigation could be a sign of further penalties to come.

We are taking on Hyundai emissions compensation claims

Since the Volkswagen ‘dieselgate’ scandal hit the headlines in 2015, many other car manufacturers have come under scrutiny regarding the emissions output of their diesel vehicles. Hyundai is one of a range of earlier carmakers to be subjected to allegations of excessive NOx (nitrous oxide) production, having reportedly been fined in 2014 over the fuel economy and carbon emissions of its cars. We are  taking on Hyundai emissions compensation claims to ensure that all those who may have been affected by any alleged deceit relating to ‘dieselgate’ scandal types of issues can achieve justice.

As with others, the carmaker denies any wrongdoing. As advocates of consumer rights, it is important to us that all the emissions allegations against carmakers are thoroughly investigated in order for us to help as many affected customers as possible to achieve the justice that they deserve, where the law has been broken.

Peugeot emissions compensation claims

It was revealed in 2017 that PSA, the manufacturer of Peugeot and Citroen vehicles, was being investigated by French prosecutors after its offices had been raided. Under suspicion of cheating emissions tests, Peugeot became just one among many manufacturers to be scrutinised over the potential use of alleged defeat devices and excessive emissions output. If the vehicles are found to have broken regulations, claimants could be eligible to recover thousands of pounds in Peugeot emissions compensation. The carmaker, like others, denies any wrongdoing at all.

The “dieselgate” scandal shook the world when it was alleged in 2015 that Volkswagen’s diesel cars may have been fitted with technology that allowed them to pass emissions tests. Later, it was proven that these cars were producing volumes of NOx that exceeded the regulatory limits, which had gone unnoticed due to the use of defeat devices.

We were one of the first law firms to bring claims against Volkswagen in England and Wales, and we later played a key role in the litigation after we were appointed to the Steering Committee responsible for the overall conduct of the Group Litigation Order. Our experience in emissions litigation means that we have the expertise needed to take on your Peugeot compensation claim.

Alfa Romeo emissions compensation

As a brand owned by the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Group, Alfa Romeo has fallen under suspicion regarding the potential use of illegal defeat devices in its vehicles. Although the specific models have yet to be fully identified, it is believed that hundreds of thousands of FCA vehicles may have been affected by emissions irregularities. We are taking on Alfa Romeo emissions compensation claims on the basis of the current allegations of alleged deceitful practices.

The ‘dieselgate’ scandal first shook the world in 2015, when Volkswagen came under fire for the alleged use of illegal defeat devices, installed in the manufacturers to allow them to cheat emissions tests. As a result of our pioneering work, Volkswagen has now had a finding against it in the High Court of England and Wales.

We are now working tirelessly to ensure that as many affected vehicle owners as possible have a chance to claim the compensation that they deserve. If you own or have previously owned a potentially affected Alfa Romeo model, you may be able to join our action to fight for justice. They, as with other carmakers, deny that they have done anything wrong.

Ford Emissions Compensation Action

As one of latest car manufacturers to become embroiled in the car emissions scandals of recent years, Ford has come under suspicion following allegations that it may have used illegal defeat device technology. As we continue to investigate the allegations, those who own affected vehicles may be able to claim Ford emissions compensation. The carmaker, like others, denies any wrongdoing at all.

After Volkswagen was implicated in the dieselgate scandal in 2015, a number of other manufacturers were similarly accused of manipulating their cars to pass emissions tests in some way. The majority of carmakers have been associated with excessive nitrous oxide (NOx) emissions allegations, and the accusations against Ford have also linked it to allegations of the overproduction of carbon emissions.

If it does emerge that customers have been deceived regarding the emissions output of their vehicles, there may be a case for a Ford emissions group action, in which claimants could recover thousands of pounds. We have been invested in the fight against carmakers over such allegations from the beginning, having initiated High Court proceedings against Volkswagen in early 2016. Now, we are determined to ensure that all those affected by car emissions scandals can access the justice they deserve where allegations are found to be true.

Latest update in the Renault diesel emissions investigations

Having been subjected to investigations several years ago, it has now been confirmed that French carmaker Renault has been charged by a court. Launched in 2017, the Renault diesel emissions investigations are among many probes into alleged emissions fraud that have been aimed at a number of accused carmakers.

Since the Volkswagen ‘dieselgate’ scandal that broke in the media in 2015, in which the company was accused of fitting illegal defeat devices to its diesel vehicles, a number of the world’s most well-known car brands have also been met with accusations that they manipulated emissions control software in their diesel cars. Volkswagen has already been levelled with billions of pounds in fines, and the latest decision in the Renault case indicates that it may be heading towards higher financial penalties also.

As the first firm to initiate High Court proceedings in England and Wales against Volkswagen soon after the scandal broke, we have been representing claimants affected by alleged emissions cheating for over 5 years. We are determined to see that all suspected carmakers are held to account where allegations are proven. We can take on claims for any car owners who are found to have been affected by Renault’s alleged emissions cheating.

Nissan emissions compensation claims

Nissan, alongside associated brand Renault, is currently the subject of investigations into the alleged use of defeat devices in its vehicles. The allegations, born in the wake of the Volkswagen “dieselgate” scandal, concern the debate over whether or not Nissan has used illegal defeat device technology to disguise its vehicles’ non-compliance with emissions regulations. If it is confirmed that customers were deceived regarding the emissions output of their vehicles, they may be able to make Nissan emissions compensation claims.

After a court case in which we played a key role in, Volkswagen was found to have been using illegal defeat devices to cheat emissions tests. The allegations of deceitful emissions practices now spread widely across the car manufacturing industry, and while they have yet to all be proven, we are determined to ensure that all suspected manufacturers are thoroughly scrutinised in order to root out any wrongdoing.

Nissan, as other carmakers are doing, strongly deny that they have done anything wrong. Our investigations will determine if this is the case or not.
