German regulators have reportedly approved a fix for 1.2L Volkswagen Group models affected by the emissions scandal – dubbed “dieselgate” in the media.

The fix has been approved for some five million vehicles affected, which accounts for almost half of those affected across the globe, and includes models like the SEAT Ibiza and the Volkswagen Polo.

The fix may be approved, but the question as to how the fix is going to affect vehicles moving forward remains the important one.

We’re acting for thousands of people affected by the emissions scandal here in the UK, and we’re working with lawyers across the world as we fight for justice for those who have been affected. The recall was supposed to have started at the beginning of the year, yet hardly any UK customers have had the recall done so far.

The big issue here is what happens to the vehicle once the recall has been done. We already have reports from our own clients about the changes caused by the recall and the adverse affect it has had on their vehicle, and we are seriously concerned that there will be more reports of this moving forward. Expert evidence so far upholds the claims that the recall will have a negative impact on vehicles.

Have you had the recall?

If you have had the recall, and you haven’t yet joined the group action we’re leading, please get in contact with us as soon as you can. The recall process continues to be slow, and despite Volkswagen’s assertions that there will be no impact on vehicles once they have had the recall, our evidence says otherwise.

In the U.S., a compensation package is being negotiated, yet Volkswagen is refusing to pay compensation to UK customers at the moment. We’re confident we will win our legal action, but we need to make sure we fight them tooth and nail with hard evidence so anyone affected by the emissions scandal can get the compensation we believe they deserve.

Thousands of clients – deadlines looming

We urge anyone who wants to claim who hasn’t yet joined our action to get in touch ASAP.

There already are deadlines that have passed for what cases we’re taking on, and future deadlines that people fail to meet could mean missing out on the compensation you are due as a victim. Having helped thousands of people in the past for group claims, it’s heartbreaking when we get enquires after the deadlines have passed and there is nothing we can do for them.

Missing one small deadline could cost you thousands of pounds. If you’re serious about claiming, take action now.
