We’ve launched another press campaign this week to highlight the need for owners of vehicles affected by the “dieselgate” scandal who have yet to sign up to our group to start their claim as soon as possible.
With the backing of other Claimant Law Firms, we’re set to be allocated a place on the Steering Committee in the action where we will take a prominent role in the litigation moving forward, and our Claimant Group will have the benefit of our specialism and expertise.
We were the first to properly launch action in England and Wales, and we intend to see this through to the end!
The next hearing is set for the end of March 2018 and we expect the court will put a cut-off date for people to join the action at some point in the future, which is common in consumer action cases of this nature. What’s happening in the litigation next?
With VW still refusing to pay compensation to victims, it’s important that we keep our action growing and growing – we cannot let VW get away with what they have done!
We will take the fight all the way if we have to, and we remain confident we can win.
We expect the court will impose a cut-off for people to join the action, and we will then pursue VW through the courts. VW should do the honourable thing and pay compensation as soon as possible, but if they don’t, we’ll fight them all the way.
